A bunion is a bump inside of ones foot in the in the vicinity of the big toe joint. This bump is actually a bone that is sticking out toward the inside of the foot. Over time, this can even cause the big toe to overlap and be on top of the next toe.

Women experience bunions more than men. Bunions can be caused by arthritis and a few other factors, but the cause tends to usually be wearing shoes that don’t fit properly. it is important to identify your bunion when it first begins to form because over time it can worsen, making surgery necessary.
