Stephen W. Caswell, LPN
Steve and Dr. Bertolo met while working together at the Columbus Neighborhood Health Centers and have become close friends over the past seven years. He was an integral part in the start up of Urban Podiatry and continues to be a valuable asset to the overall success of the practice.
As practice administrator and licensed practical nurse (LPN) for Urban Podiatry, Steve works directly with Dr. Bertolo by assessing, planning, and implementing care for Urban Podiatry patients. He is also responsible for managing all business operations, patient scheduling, and claims billing.
Prior to joining Urban Podiatry, Steve was an LPN performing case management duties for the Columbus Neighborhood Health Centers, a multi-disciplinary community health center. He was promoted to Health Center Manager within two years. In this role, he managed over 30 employees.
For four years, Steve served in the U.S. Army at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. He also served in Operation Enduring Freedom at the Combat Support Hospital in Bagram, Afghanistan. He received the Army achievement medal for exemplary performance in Afghanistan. Steve is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force Reserves at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
Steve received his licensed practical nursing (LPN) while serving in the U.S. Army at Fort Gordon, Georgia. He is currently enrolled with Excelsior College of Nursing working towards his degree in registered nursinging (RN). He also earned a degree in business administration from Columbus State.
Steve has one son and is involved in coaching his youth football team. He is an avid OSU Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals fan and attends games whenever possible. He enjoys exercise, running, and living a healthy life style.
