Stephen W. Caswell, LPN

Steve and Dr. Bertolo met while working together at the Columbus Neighborhood Health Centers (Now known as Primary One Health) and have become close friends over the last several years. Steve was an integral part in the startup of Urban Podiatry and continues to be a valuable asset to the overall success of the practice.

As practice manager and licensed practical nurse (LPN) for Urban Podiatry, Steve works directly with Dr. Bertolo by assessing, planning, and implementing care for Urban Podiatry patients. He is also responsible for managing all business operations, patient scheduling, billing, marketing, etc.  Steve’s degree in business administration and his nursing experience allows him to assist and support Dr. Bertolo without the use of any additional office support staff.  Steve is essentially a one man show when it comes to running Urban Podiatry. 

Prior to starting Urban Podiatry, Steve was an LPN performing case management duties for Primary One Health, a multi-disciplinary community health center. He was promoted to Health Center Manager within two years. In this role, he managed over 30 employees and continues to have a great working relationship with the Primary One Health centers.

Steve served on active duty in the U.S. Army from 2002-2006 at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. He also served in Operation Enduring Freedom at the Combat Support Hospital in Bagram, Afghanistan. He received the Army achievement medal for exemplary performance in Afghanistan. Steve also served 2 years in the Army Reserves and 6 years in the U.S. Air Force Reserves at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.  He voluntarily finished his military career in 2014 after 12 years of honorable military service to focus on the Urban Podiatry business and his family. 

Steve is happily married to an amazing and accomplished woman.  He met his wife Michelle while serving in the Air Force.  Michelle works at The Ohio State University and continues to serve in the US Air Force Reserves as a Senior Master Sergeant.  Steve loves being the stay home daddy while Michelle is off serving our county. 

In his off-time Steve is the Vice President and player for Marysville Rugby Club www.MarysvilleRFC.com.  He started playing rugby in high school at Hilliard Davidson HS in the 1990’s and continues to be a great ambassador of the sport.  Steve also helps coach his 16-year-old son Derek who now plays rugby for the Hilliard Bears Rugby Club.  Steve has a great relationship with Derek and above all loves being a father. 

Steve also has a beautiful 4-year-old daughter Ava.  He loves his little daddy’s girl and coaches her youth flag football team. 

Steve is also the founder and partner for CBD Brothers USA. www.cbdbrothersusa.com He started the local CBD business to promote the benefits of CBD products and ensure the Columbus Ohio community had access to quality affordable CBD.
